Tacen 101: How to make trades on an hDEX

The hybrid decentralized exchange (hDEX) trading experience is unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

Imagine all of the conveniences of a centralized exchange – with fast order matching through a centralized orderbook and low trading fees – but none of the downsides. That means no lost custody of assets, no need to create a user account, and no need to wait for permission to make a trade.

That’s the experience we’re building into Tacen Exchange, the world’s first functioning hDEX. On Tacen Exchange, all that you have to do is connect a wallet to start making trades.

Yes, it’s really that simple. Just connect a wallet, sign the transaction (verifying that you have custody of the digital assets being traded), and set aside whatever crypto you want to trade into a non-custodial trading smart contract. You can back out at any moment, but this ensures that your crypto can be traded with another trader’s crypto at the microsecond scale – which is 1,000 times faster than our nearest competitor.

At every step of the way, you’ll be asked to sign the transactions with your wallet to verify your ownership. And at every step of the way, you’ll be able to take your money and walk away with no strings attached. After all, you maintained custody of it the entire time.

The unique hDEX trading experience feels quite similar to the DEX trading experience in terms of safety and security, but also oddly similar to the CEX trading experience in terms of convenience, affordability, and speed. Trading on an hDEX feels like trading in a strange twilight zone where everything feels impossibly easy, safe, and convenient.

That was our goal from the beginning.
